2012 The Song of Hiawatha - Coronation Hall, Ulverston 28th July 2012 We are particularly pleased to announce a collaboration with Lake District Summer Music to open this year’s festival with a performance of ‘Scenes from the Song of Hiawatha’ by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor on Saturday July 28th in the Coronation Hall, Ulverston. From Beethoven's Missa Solemnis in 2000 to Finzi's Intimations of Immortality and Roland Fudge's Celestial Light in 2010, taking in Vaughan Williams' Dona Nobis Pacem , a Finzi Centenary weekend, Orff's Carmina Burana and Britten's War Requiem along the way, CCI has organised a variety of large scale musical events over the last few years.
